I subscribe to a site that features home made tools and tricks (and the guy has been a long time member here although he doesn't participate much), and in today's site - there is trick for cleaning up epoxy - not large drops but smears and on hands. I haven't tried this specific trick and don't know how well it works in our situation, but I thought I would pass it along. If any wants to try it, please let us know how well it works:

I use 99% pure isopropyl alcohol. Works well as long as you get it before it hardens. Hand sanitizer is 60 or 70% alcohol so basically the same thing. I use the alcohol to make my own shellac among other things so always have it on hand.

I keep acetone, 91% isopropyl alcohol 70% isopropyl alcohol and denatured alcohol. Only thing is when epoxy sets up and hard to clean. When I used epoxy for fishing rods, I used the DNA as acetone would melt the graphite rod blanks.
