Cleaning Schmidt RB refills ??

During a craft show today 3 of my Schmidt refills kept skipping and finally stopped. All are brand new. Any ideas on cleaning the rb tip?

Sounds like you got some of the wax seal in the tip. Real simple trick. Use a lighter and breifly heat the tip. Not too long you don't want to melt the plastic only the wax. Immediately after wipe the tip across a wet sponge or napkin.

I'm not positive but I don't think rollerball refills have a waxed tip do they? Mine just come capped.
