Claro Walnut Vessel

My first time turning this deep of a vessel. It is Claro Walnut from a 4×4x4 block. I lovr the smell this has when turning. This is the deepest I have ever turned so far and I think it came out nice loml kept it lol. I need a bigger lathe I think to do the things I really want to do, my mini worked but it took some doing till the piece was round. I trimmed the corners to center it but still got a little off center and I learned the value of a very sharp tool. But I got 4 blamks from the trim so woohoo.

That piece has really nice grain and color. As for the smell, while it is nice, I have to wear a mask since walnut really bothers my nose. It is the only species that does and hopefully the mask will keep it that way.
