This is made from quebracho wood. It is now very difficult to find really dark burl woods for the ones that are supposed to be maduro cigars.
Redwood burl is not dark enough and black acacia is nearly impossible to find. They of course should be stabilized but this stuff is so dense it was not necessary.
The grain is too straight for my liking but it is dark enough that it doesn't really matter anyway.

Cory, the end is un-stabilized buckeye burl, carved and painted.
