Cigar Moonlit Ocean

This is a Cigar in satin black, from Woodcraft. The blank is an AA called Moonlit Ocean, also from WC. I don't know why they call the finish satin black, it looks more like black and satin gunmetal to me. Regardless, I think it compliments the blank. I love this blank, it's one of my favorites. I've made several pens with them, but this is the first Cigar. Very happy with it.

I painted the hole and tube, and colored the epoxy as I always do with these blanks. It looks pretty opaque to me, but I was unpleasantly surprised the one time I didn't paint one.

I really like that Cigar !!! . The hardware and blank colors really complement each other !!!

Mike, I like both pens, they each have their own attributes. The darker blue ones on the cigar pen, are a perfect match to the color of the kit. And the way the sky blue looks on the Sierra type kit. Makes it hard to believe that, it's one and the same blank as the cigar pen is.

It's amazing what a difference back painting can make.

I was originally going to use a Blue Titanium Cigar kit with this blank, but decided it would be too much blue. I really like the contrast of the blank with the kit I chose.
