Hello everyone ,
I turned my first Cigar pen today, and since I dont have bushings yet I turned it between centers. I think I may have gotten a better fit than I have on other kits because of doing so. I'm one that tends to add spacers to the mandrel so I have more room away from the headstock. Thats the only part of turning between centers that I dont like..still though, it seems to offer more advantages that not.
..I'm not certain what this wood is I used on the Cigar pen...it has lines like zebrawood but I don't know. And it had an aroma that I would describe as sweet.
I applied approx. 8 coats of thin & medium CA, followed with a couple applications of wax. Wax on wax off.
Thank you all !
