The pen is a Cigar in antique brass from Bear Tooth Woods. The blank is a Color Explosion called Canyon Sun, from Exotic Blanks. Still not sure if I like the blank. There's a lot going on, and it's colorful, but it just looks blah to me. Maybe there's too much tan in it. I will say that it matches the pen finish. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Someone will like it.

I'm such a dumba$$ sometimes. As I was assembling it, I noticed the components weren't matching up. It looked like I had under turned it. Did I use the wrong bushings? Did I turn it wrong? Nope. I put the lower body components in the upper body. Fortunately, it came apart easily, so I was able to reassemble it correctly. I'm getting old.

Mistakes like that are easy to do. Good save. Am usually a fan; not sure I can get on board with that antique brass finish - just me. Keep turning and we'll keep looking.

Jim, that's a very nice looking pen, I didn't catch anything wrong with it until you mentioned it. As for age...until you become as old as dirt, you're still young. Heck, my father in law is 97 and I still wouldn't want to tangle with him. And he agrees that he could probably take me. Again, nice looking pen.

Ha! I remember when dirt was invented!
