Cigar band specialist question

i'm interested in some pointers as well.
i'm a HUGE cigar smoker (made a few humidors for my personal stash) and have a ton of bands i can use.

I have had success in using a CA finish, 4-5 layers, MM to about 2000, then apply the cigar band using slightly diluted Elmers white glue. This gives some time to get the band placed and "worked" a little if necessary.

Smooth the band with a paper towel and wipe the excess glue. Let it dry overnight, then start applying CA over the band. You will loose count on how many layers it takes to build up enough CA to completely conceal the band! When you satisfied with the look and feel, MM and polish to your normal CA finish. It works, it just takes some patience and time to smooth out the CA and get a good finish.

Here's a picture of a completed pen with this method. Not the best band, but this was a test of the process.

what about casting a tube with cigar bands on them? i bought a couple molds and i have my kits picked out. the problem i'm having, is that pretty much all of my bands are bigger than the tube. i'm trying to work with a Sierra kit. some of the bands wrap around the tube 3 times, so how do you get them on there like a collage and not have it look crappy?
