My wife seen a version of this and asked if we could make one. It was pretty easy. Bottom layer is 9 inches. Goes from 9 to 2 inches, 2 of each size. I drilled a centered hole in each one to make assembly easy. She did everything but cutting the pieces. It's about 16 inches tall.

That's cool how did you run the lights?
She just put what she calls fairy lights around it. The wires are so thin, you can hardly see them.
