It's become somewhat of a tradition to make my parents pens for Christmas, so I couldn't break that tradition this year. I had to work really hard to get these done in time!
The first is a button filler made from vintage blue lizard skin that I got from somebody on here a while back when they were liquidating their vintage materials. It uses an Esterbrook nib, which I chose because my dad used to collect them, and has quite a few nibs now.
The second is a rollerball for my mom, as she isn't as much of a fountain pen person. It's made from vintage purple chip cellulose acetate.
Both pens have nickel silver metalwork. The roller ball was especially fun, as I don't get to do them often . Fabricating the nose cone adds an extra step in, but it's well worth it. Apologies for the bad pics: I didn't have my photography equipment on hand, and my parents wouldn't let me take the pens back home with me to photograph
