I've been interested in making these for a long time. This is my very first one. I need to up my finial game, but overall I think it's a decent start. The cherry sphere is just under 3 inches.

Thanks very much! I've used that on knife handles but not on a turning like this. Do you wipe it on and let it set or use like a friction finish?

I don't use it like a friction finish. I apply it with my both my fingers and a cloth.
