I took a few vacation days last week and spent a little time in the shop making Christmas ornaments..I got about 12 of these done and a disply stand for them also
The body and the roof are both hollow. These are a fun little project

The first one is cherry and walnut, the second is osage orange and walnut

Nice Harlold, I love making those ornaments for my grandchildren. Lord knows, there is always plenty of wood scap around to make them with!. Ever try using a Wagner texturing tool for the bird house roof tops? They make really nice acorn type tops. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the miniture birds?

Thanks folks..the little birds came from a craft store called pat catans..they are 3 for $1.49. They seem to have just about any thing like that you would ever need, plus they sell the large bottles of pearl x pigments seperately and stock a huge selection of colors
