Another save. When I went to drill the cactus, the end broke. I had to cut quite a bit off to save it. I then segmented a very similar in color acrylic to the ends. I think it turned out pretty nice.

Nice job on the save.

Just a thought. When using "slightly" different segments as end caps, a separator/veneer will give enough of a bit of distance that the slight mis-match is much less noticeable. In this instance, I might have used a white credit card in between the sections. Not a criticism, just a thought.

I did put a black card in there. White may very well have been better.

Gotcha, I see it now (kinda :redface:). Pretty subtle, but you get my thought.
 
I like the black ... it is really subtle and I like it better than a white.

Nice save, and, consequently, a nice pen !!!
