Last year I made pens for my two sons' teachers. This year, my 8-year old wanted to make it himself. Other than a little help with the final turning (getting it down to the exact size), he did everything. The segmenting and color choices were his decision. It's good to get the kids involved. Always helps to talk with them while working, they are relaxed a liittle more and respond better. Keep up the good work.
 
some of my best times are in the shop with my 9 year old daughter. these memories I will always cherish. by the way she can do a slim line by herself.(after I cut and drill the blanks)
