I like it. Quick question. Ken prefers them finished but not assembled, is that correct? I've got a few but they are already assembled... that can be reversed too... with the help of a couple of HF punches.
And this is a clock from a coworker who cant keep it standing up while fumbling with the snooze button. I swear that snooze button was invented by our enemies, whoever they are.The base is still in its early designing stages.
The lidded box was going to go on the base but after I got done with the box I noticed a problem, box to big or clock to small.
The box is for holding ear plugs. Oh well back to the shop for another lidded box
Hey I am getting the hang of these.
Does anyone know how you stop one of these from flying off the lathe and bouncing around the shop because of the lack of tightining the 4 jaw chuck enough
. I will chalk that up to experience if I ever find it again.
Oh and I love the little gremlins that are on the inside that try and steal my tools when I am in there trying to hollow them out.
I like the base you made for the clock. I have one of those. It's nice the way it projects the time on the wall in letters big enough to see in the middle of the night. Not very good during the day though. And the minature turnings with lids!! How cool.
One tooth pick holder from plans from "wood" magazine.
I still need someone to tell me why I did not go into the kitchen and measure tha largest tooth picks that we have.
Any one want a project of turning 800 thooth picks a half inch shorter?
The tooth picks you see in there are some short ones we had lying around.
"after" the family and I got dressed for church got the car warming up when the wife said she smelled something burning. We both proceeded around the house looking for the cause, well
she found it.
I am assuming the furnace should not be smoking with flames coming out of it.
That is why the box got finished after the furnace went out, I needed some stress relief.
