Made from a cherry crotch. It has a glass liner and is finished with lacquer.

Sorry about this but

As thick as that is it's going to bust apart with that glass inside.

Time will tell.
It was rough turned and drilled about 6 months ago and has got small cracks thoughout.

Bob what happens is wood moves and changes shape---you take the glass out of it and she will do better---I am just trying to help you save the vase.
