Heh, look me up in a couple months when its dry. I've never boiled wood before, I'll have to see how it turns out! I'm out of newspaper, so I'll have to wrap it in a bath towel. The wife is gonna LOVE that.

This may seem like a dumb question but I need to know why you boiled the wood. What purpose does it serve? I've never heard of it before.

They gonna be nice pieces alright, until shmbo finds out about the towels. Then they gonna have a brown stain after Skye removes them from where she transfers them to. Thats gonna hurt.

Here is a link that fills you in on the 'whys and what have you' concerning boiling woods. If you will follow Steve's procedures I bet you will have no problems at all.

I have been boiling my pen and bowl blanks for over two years and have cut my losses to almost zero using Steve's procedures. :biggrin:
