My neighbor cut down a weeping cherry tree and this is from the root burl. He looked at me like I was some kind of nut, wanting the root section. Curious what he'll think when he sees what it looks like, now. It is 7" x 4.25" and has a danish oil finish and buffed. Showed a couple of sides as it is busy all the way around.

Pretty. Each side has something to grab your attention. Did you do anything to stabalize the voids?
No, I left it natural, some of the voids go all the way through and you can see light through them. It is really dry, as it sat in my basement, near the furnace, nearly two years. After looking at the photos, the two side views look like it could be upside down!
