I wrote in another thread that I had somehow locked up my Beall collet chuck and have been unable to get the cap nut off. I emailed the Beall company asking for suggestions and they offered to send me a replacement chuck and a replacement for the collet that is locked inside. I wasn't expecting this level of service (and didn't ask for a replacement). This is a very nicely made and not inexpensive piece of equipment and I'm pretty surprised at this level of service, above and beyond IMHO. Thank you JR Beall!

You may know this already, (I didn't when I first got mine), always snap the collet into the retaining nut first before screwing it on. There is a little groove that will hold it (loosely).
I knew that but may not have snapped it in place well enough, don't really know what went wrong. Love your hat btw.
