G'day!
Recently received a lovely piece of Chatke Viga burl also known as Paela burl from a lovely friend in the states. It has a deep red colour, especially once a finish has been applied. The smell was amazing, reminded me a little of amboyna. I made sure that the skew was super sharp and took light passes after reading that it is a very unpredictable burl to turn, as most are. I found it turned quite nicely.
I love gloss so I did my usual CA finish, and popped it on a Triton kit from Berea. A nice kit. Really enjoyed making this pen, thanks for looking!
Casey.

I felt amazement when you applied the finish CA had no idea it would kick right in the way it did. Ruby Red from another planet. So glad you decided to use your good ones and the beaut result. Its a pleasure when a plan exceeds so well. Brilliant pen Casey kind blank provider Jesse.

Kind regards mate Peter.

While I can appreciate the effort and time that goes into segmented pens, I think a beautiful blank with a great finish can make some of the most stunning pens as evidenced in this case (and many of your other pens). Great job!
