Chris - thanks for the demo, but you should have saved that peice as it could have been used for a finial on something. The pen you did out of that was amazing. It looks much like a Lucky Curve. Very nicely done.
At the very beginning of "movies", the projector was in a seperate building from the movie theatre. The first films were on celluloid and if the projector ever "arched" there was a flash fire.
Being a projectionist paid very well in those days, because electricity was in its humble beginnings and power surges cause projection bulbs to spark frequently. Serveral projectionists perished in "flash fires".
