Just playing around with my new Nikon 60mm Micro lens I bought for taking photos of my pens. No photo shop or anything like that, just the camera photos.
1st pen is a Churchill with Cebloplast sapphire.
2nd is Imperial with individually hand laid shells (not strips).

Keith great looking pens! I have always loved abalone shell blanks!
I have been thinking about getting a macro lens myself. I seem to shoot mostly in the 45-55mm range. Do you mind if I ask you what is your focal length of the lens and do you think it makes a big difference?

Thanks!

I have that same lens, and like it very much. Your choice of the Churchill does a great job showing off the special qualities of the Ceblo, especially since it is so easy to drill.
Both pens are lookin' great
