I had one eye done this morning and I can't believe the difference. It's like someone turned the lights on. Am scheduled for the other eye on April 5th.

Actually with cataracts they cut the natural lens out and replace it with a manmade one. Its amazing to watch, I saw a few before going back to work at southwest airlines.

I had it done about 10 years ago, both eyes(I was only 45). Made a differance. The weird part for me was they put me to sleep to deaden the optic nerve, then wake me up for the surgery. No regrets here though.

Glad to hear it went well. I didn't realize you got to see out of it so quickly, thought it would be covered for a few days. It's amazing.

I'm glad to hear the good news.... my wife is having a retina peel done on her eyes in preparation for cataract surgery... she's diabetic and has been having trouble with her eyes for a while... the doctor said she had a "wrinkle" in the retina of her left eye... when she went to the surgery, the surgeon told her she also had a "wrinkle" in her right eye... after she heals, then she get the cataract surgery... should be mid Jun or July by the time it gets done... she can't wait.

Here's my 2 cents on this subject,I was seen halos when I look at lights and when I looked up to the moon there where one moon in the middle and dozen moons around the center one.Well I went in to eye surgery very worried about the whole situation,to my amazement all went really well. The Doctor did 20 patients that morning,I ask the nurse if they had a production line going on, that made her day.Well the way they do it is they make an incision on the outside corner of your eye. They stick this really fine tube suck out your eye lense and thru the tube they stick a folded man made lense and when it reaches inside it opens up and they stitch it in place.Done in about 7 minutes once they start.I now see really bright again.Ed get it done nothing to worry about.I was given some really dark sun glasses and some drops to put in and I was seen good that same afternoon.
