cat toys and birds

these are some cat toys made from basswood. they roll all over the floor and the cats go crazy. also rubbed some fresh catnip from the backyard on them.

the humming birds are the kind of things i normaly do. i took a pic in my hand to give an idea how big they are. thanks for looking..bear

i cut the pieces and shape them as i am guleing them together. everything is made from 3/4" boards. .....bear

Question on the cat toys, what are you using for the tails..and did you just glue whatever it is into a drilled hole..??
I keep buying little toy mouses for my favorite furball...I am betting she would love something like those to smat around

3" long pieces of yarn, stuffed,(used the flat end of a small bamboo skewer to stuff the yarn) then CA'd into a 1/8" hole. we have 7 cats so the "mice" are getting a workout! the cats are having a ball with them. oh yea, they were made from scrap basswood pen blanks....have fun making them then set back for some late night entertainment...........bear
