Casting question

When casting powdered material--how do you keep the material from settling? I have very little in the top half and too much in the bottom half.

bill, powder coat paint and pearlx is all i've ever used in what little casting i've done. i've not noticed any settling......
what you might try.....don't pour immediately...wait a few minutes, stirring occasionally...and when it just begins to set up, then pour. it's more labor to do this.....but it will keep powder in suspension till it sets up
