I really should toot my own horn :laugh::laugh::laugh:!!! Of course none of this would ever have been possible without the bounty of knowledge from the IAP and then my own personal experimentation's on the product because of you people. This month's Creative Woodworks and Crafts magazine contains an article where I scroll and cast an intarsia dragon. So if ya'll are floating by a new stand waiting for the wife to buy grocieries or something like that, be sure and take a peak! It may not be on the new stands until next week, but it is arriving right now if you are a subscriber. I have my copy ready for framing :rolleyes:

Awsome Jeff, I look forward to picking up a copy when it hits the news stand... congrats, you deserve the recognition.

Congrats Jeff. Do me a favour? Keep a copy of the mag for me and you can add it to my next order please. :wink:

Jeff

I love your work, if i send a copy with return postage will you sign a copy so when your famous I can say I knew you when you had your very first article?

Great accomplishment and I am looking forward to reading it!

sure I would Rojo, but it's not my first article. I'm sure I'll never be famous either, just working on digging my little spot in the world and that's working out just fine.

Jeff;

Picked up my copy about 3 weeks ago....congrats...you gave me some new ideas so thanks for that...looking forward to the next issue with more on your pens

Congratulations Jeff. Sure wish that I could see what the 'dragon' intarsia looks like. ;)

It's the one with the naked woman on it. The only naked woman ever published by a scrolling mag, and on top of that, they did not blur any part of her. I was a bit surprised they did not, and happy to see they have some cahone's over there. It's artful, not porn, but some people these days don't have the guts to stand up to that one whiner out there. The so called "competitor" magazine would have ran from her like she was Hurricane Ike!

This is my "worthless wood" intarsia style project in the magazine. Also, Peter made me this Rotundo tool. It's amazing how his laser guy was able to take the intarsia dragon and adapt it to fit on the tool handle. It's very cool beans!

I think I got the wrong issue?
It says Holiday 2009, and I don't see the article. :(

Yes you do Don. November issue is what you are looking for. It should be out any day now. If you had the October issue, that would have been ok too..I'm there as well, but I don't do the holiday art. I like holidays like anyone else, but don't see the point of art that is focused on one particular holiday. Makes for a tough sell.

GGGRRRRRRRRRR....third time I have been by the BBB for a copy, and it hasnt arrived yet....LOL....I went back to my last issue, and lo and behold, I found your other article! Great job on that, and it is tiding me over till I can get the new copy.....

Jeff, well deserved ... I was just thinking the other day when you sent me the first scrolled blanks to cast. You have become not only the scroll master but a published pen and scroll master..Yes I now can truthfully say "I knew him when.":wink:
