Cast #8 macropearl reverse painted

I cast a solid Macropearl blank, and reverse painted and painted the tubes with purple acrylic craft paint. Worked out pretty well, and it looks like the possibilities of the blank and various colors is pretty far-reaching.

Would you mind posting how big your blank was and about how much of the Macropearl you used? I am going to try casting my first this weekend and that would give me a starting point.

Yeah, I used 3 ounces of PR approximately. Using a tounge depressor to measure out my pigments it was 3 heaps on the end of the depressor. It was split into 2 separate 1 1/2 ounce batches to be measured and mixed. I added 8 or 9 drops of catalyst, poured it in the mold, put my clear tote upside down and stuck a blow dryer in there runnong for 30-45 minutes. Blank was roughly 3/4 x 3/4 by 6 inches. I wish I could be more precise, but I eyeball everything or use homemade jigs made by eyeballing everything.
