This was my first useage of this material. I found it requires a super light touch. If not employed ( the light touch ), small voids were the norm for me whist turning. It is nice to work with and tough photograph. Be well........Jan

That's a very pretty pen. I have always liked the look of casein. I've only turned it once. Made a wedding guest book pen out if it. I had it engraved and told the engraver I wanted gold lettering. The engraver had never engraved on casein before said she'd do her best. The lettering came out gold just from the process. She had never seen that before either.

Maybe she was just pulling my leg, but that's what she said.
