I rarely treat myself to a pen though this one made me think. I really liked the way it turned on the lathe and the way it turned out when finished with CA. It came from a stabilized piece of buck eye burl and is a Stratus kit. Once I install a Schmidt cartridge I'll make the call.

The only pens I don't carry are the ones that are are special ordered for a client. That way I can answer questions about how it writes or anything else someone might ask that is Chris about what I make.

That's a carry pen. It's beautiful and those that see it will realize its beauty. I'm thinking you'll see more sales as people ask where you got it from. Nice to say, "I turned it" and then explain how. It's a carry pen for sure.

A beautiful pen for sure. I rotate through 10-20 myself. It's getting harder to justify keeping them though just for notes, bills and grocery lists.

But, your Buckeye... I'd keep it!

Like Penultimate said go ahead and carry it for advertising, it will also show you how well the hardware does.

Here are 2 of the same kit made the same week but notice the clips and see if you can tell the one I carry 3 or 4 times a week. I am not sure if I am comfortable selling ones made from this brand.

and these are Buckeye burl that i stabilized and dyed.

It's gone to a better place

A favorite captain, superb chef and deckhand (Drew Rivera) saw it and asked for one just like it. He has it now. I like selling though even more love giving.

The photos show meals, snacks or deserts prepared by this chef in a very tiny kitchen 500 miles from shore. EVERY meal or snack is like this. I plan to skip at least one meal a day to only gain a few pounds, those that eat everything usually gain a pound a day! The vessel is the Royal Star and they make sure we catch fish too.

Okay, i'm beginning to understand the tackle boxes. Here in the Midwest, we pack our bologna sandwich in the same walmart bag as the worms and go sit on the river bank--y'all do it different out there!!

Great pen, and incredibly creative food. And...i'd trade a pen for a meal out of that kitchen any day!!
