Had carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand yesterday. Was amazed to find I had basically no pain today....a little tender right over the stitches, but I can type and run the mouse....I'm good! No driving for two weeks and can't pick up anything heavier than a cup of coffee with that hand. Hope I can get back to turning. I had enough numbness in my thumb and fingers I was afraid to try to use the lathe.

Hoping you have a SPEEDY and FULL recovery, Sharon ! ! !

And that you are "Better Than Ever" afterwards ! ! !

Hoping you manage through the things you can't do for a while. That is always the hardest thing for me!

LOML keeps insisting that I have carpel tunnel problem in my left hand ring finger. But I have what is called "trigger finger". It locks in a closed position and lightly clicks when forced to open. Google search says it is more related to arthritis, but does mention carpel tunnel. I have an appointment with my GP for this issue later this month.

I hope you see the light at the end of the tunnel soon! May your healing be complete, swift, and painless.

Thank you all so much. Biggest problem is keeping the bandage clean and dry. It really doesn't limit my use of the hand much except for not being able to pick up anything heavy or grip tightly. (Can't open tight jar lids!) Still cooking without much problem. Thank heavens for a dishwasher!
