I do not, but I have always had good luck with GM. I'm 11 yrs in with my silverado, 185000 miles and she runs just like she did off the showroom floor..although she doesn't look like showroom material anymore! I'd replace her, but she's paid for and still runs great, so I just keep her going. I think Michigan road salt will completely devour the truck before it stops running.

Not new to GM

I am not new to GM in general or Chevrolet in particular. I've been driving a Chevy Colorado for about 7 years and am looking at perhaps moving to a SUV or Crossover and Equinox is one I'm looking at. I'm not into hauling as much as I used to.

my wife may end up with a job that involves a 40 mile commute  and her jeep cherokee is about as efficient at a D-9 dozer .... so we'd be in the market for something much more efficient too ...

I will warn you stay the hell away from the HHRs. I own one and has given me NOTHING but troubles. For instance, the car is an 06 with 93K on it, and so far I have replaced the rotors 3 times (4th is due) with new pads. New shocks all around, & new cv joints. Perhaps I got a lemon, but I found on the HHR forums my issues are very common.

If it were me I would by either a Ford if you want US made or look at the Toyota.

In the 80's and 90's you couldn't pay me to own a Ford. Then I got the 99 Explorer my wife drives. It's been amazing. Well over 200k on the clock and still going strong. Only major work was front timing chain cassettes due to a tolerance defect. (Of course, the extended warranty coverage for that expired before I bought the thing in 2006.)
