Closed end pen I made today, this by no means compares to the kitless pens a lot of members on here make....I wanted to try something different from the kits I've been doing. I used a rollerball nib section from a El Grande and threaded the inside of the black piece which is rhinoplastic while the colorful others are aa, i think. The cap is held on with friction.
I turned a couple wood blanks down as mandrels to hold the pieces but I still didn't sand or polish it as I needed to...I was concerned if I applied too much pressure I would end up having to fish-out the pieces.
I have some aluminum I'm going to cut and thread to make better mandrels so I can give the next one a better shot.

Thanks for looking !
Russ

Nice work and a very pretty pen. It looks a bit more like the crumbs of ribbon candy we used to get at Christmas time when I was a kid than it looks like a candy cane.;)
