So you start with a triangular shaped blank on some of these, squared up on others, and turn a cool little bowl from the piece! Awesome....just might need to 'borrow' the design and make some stuff too....I often end up with some really weird shaped stuff from cutting bowl blanks and I'm starting not to like the burning of great timber.

for the first, I started with a cube that I held between opposite vertices
for those triangular, I never leave a triangle or a square then cut a bandsaw. it is not fun.
for the second, I started with a cube that I held between opposite faces with a slightly off center.
the third is a simple domed below with a textured portion that is raised

Thanks for the explanation! Inspiring some outside of the box thinking on something I thought should just be a simple designed item...by making them more complex it should make the rest of my turnings come around towards that look.
