Camphor

I bought a nice piece of Camphor (Cinnamomum Camphora) on eBay last week. Cut it into blanks and man does it smell good! Here's a a Web site I found with some interesting into. Anyone use this wood? Curious about turning and finishing. http://aquat1.ifas.ufl.edu/camphor.html

It's a shame that site doesn't have "Smell-O-Net" [)]- I'd like to check out what that smells like- Wouldn't imagine from the camphor name that it would smell too nice.

It does smell a bit like medicine. I can't quite place it. It's not unpleasant, just unusual.

I don't know that i have ever seen it before. but B.B. always sends freebees that don't stick in my mind so I get to be suprised again when I look through my blanks.
