So I was away at a convention for my new business in New York City all week, which was amazing, was greeted at the door with a new friend. Here is our newest addition to the family.

Kane is a chow/golden/shepard(?) mix we found at the pound before I left. My LOML couldn't wait til I got home to pick him up. He is a really nice dog, with a personality that is totally opposite from his name. There is not a single dominate bone in his body.

Bless you for saving his life. I have 2 beautiful little dogs I found at the pound. My little chihuahua died after 14 years and I thought I would die of grief. These 2 are a lot like him and have give me new reasons to live

I know that expression very well.

"Thank you for busting me outta the joint. I didn't belong there and now I'm going to do everything I can to prove I really belong here. I love you."

Good on you guys for giving him a chance, its all they ever want.

Yea he is a good pup, def. likes my LOML better than me, probably had issues in the past. Oh well...he is still a cool dog.

In addition to this, turns out my cockatiels are having kids...just found the first egg in the nest.

Many years ago we got one from the pound. She was a mixture of Shepherd and Husky, but looked like a coyote!
One Thanksgiving, as we were trying to get the meal together, she got loose. Loved to run that one! Well, the local assistant Fire Chief spotted her and soon had several others in "hot pursuit" of this "dangerous" animal!
Luckily, ol' Katie ran by our neighbor's home down the street, and stopped to visit their dog. My good friend and local dentist spotted her and went out and scooped her up and over the fence so the two could play.
The neighbor's were actually coming to have Thanksgiving dinner with us and when they did he related this story....
He said the Ass. Fire Chief () had pulled up in his truck and his jaw just about dropped to the ground when he saw my friend reach down to pick her up. Later I heard it had been all over the scanner .... apparently they had been very close to shooting her!:eek:

She was named after Katherine Hepburn for her Majestic beauty , was very gentle, and lived almost 18 years! I hope yours has as full a life!

Wow that is a crazy story Lenny. I find it totally amazing how much we accept these rejected fur balls into our homes and they become part of our lives. I say this as Kane is sound asleep on my lady's lap. Very cute
