I will be out in California the end of February. Specifically, Cloverdale, Healdsburg, and Windsor (1-2 hours north of San Fran). We will also be in Monterey and San Francisco, but that time will be pretty much filled with touristy things where the time up north will be more relaxed. Can anyone direct me to some sources where I can pick up (buy, scavenge, beg, or trade) some native wood for lathe turning?

Going with the family, so while I can sneak off for an hour or so, they won't put up with me disappearing for a day to feed my addiction. :frown:

Thanks

Nav1uni, That is very generous of you. I will be in CA from 2/24-3/3. Not sure of our schedule yet, but I will touch base with you when we firm things up.

I mostly turn small things. Pens, bottle stoppers, small bowls, and boxes so anything in that size range would be great. They do not have to be cut to size.

Thank you.

I will PM you my contact information and put together a box for you. This is a great place to visit. I can also help you with info about places to eat and visit. There are food choices from every country and ethnicity and wonderful things to see. The Pacific Ocean is beautiful.
