Just judging from the picture, I'll bet there is awesome chatoyance. I just turned one that has less "rays", but is very pretty. Very hard to capture in 1-2 pictures, and I don't know how to post a 15 sec video with me turning the blank.

Very nice pen Mark. I do like the black components - for certain blanks this is an excellent choice.
