When I apply Gluboost—I usually do a coat of thin to soak in, then four coats of thick, then 4 coats of thin. Then wet sand 2400 to 12,000. Then polish to get out any sanding lines. Final thickness of the CA is about .010 m.
Now say for a Jr. cap it needs to be .565, therefore I shape it to .555, and let the CA cover the difference.
So this weekend I over-trimmed the cap down to .545 by accident. The obvious solution is to double my CA regimen. Not only did it work well, but I feel like the end product is better - great shine.
So how thick do you CA?
