I had to glue in a finial and clip on an acrylic pen top. Needless to say I got CA on the clip, also on the acrylic. I don't have any fingernail polish at the moment. Was wondering what other acetone I could use?

Not knowing what you have in the shop I'll state the obvious, acetone and CA debonder.

Just go buy a quart of acetone at the hardware store. Then you don't have to borrow the wife's nail polish remover. BTW some of the nail polish removers don't have acetone in them and won't help you out with your CA problem.

I think you're out of luck, anything that will remove CA will also screw up the plating on the clip.
Don't feel bad, we've all done it, that's why I always use epoxy whenever gluing pen parts, it can be cleaned up with DNA if you catch it right a way.
