ca glue?

could someone explain to me about ca glue?
i seen talk about using accelerator sprays and read it has a fast dry time.
using it for finishing.

i have been using a 5 min epoxy and a 15 min epoxy so far.

CA comes in several viscosities such as thin, medium, gap filling, and thick. CA or super glue or kraz yglue cures almost instantly, although the thicker the CA the more cure time it takes. Accelerator causes CA to really cure instantly but it can also cause the glue to boil, bubble and turn white. Accelerator also come in different cure rate qualities. If and when I use an accelerator I use mild.

CA is my finish of choice. I use boiled linseed oil with it. Others don't. They just use CA. There are several articles on how it is applied as a finish. Take a look in the library for them. There is even a video.

Are you wanting to know about using CA as a finish, or using CA for glue ups?

jjenks right now i need to figure out glueing the brass into the blanks. or just keep using the epoxy.

I and several other members use CA for gluing. Just remember to make sure you use the appropriate thickness (preferably thick) and that you don't leave a lot of room between the brass and the blank.
