Is there a product for removing dried CA from lathe parts?
Don't know how it happened but somehow a few drops of CA landed on
the banjo while I was turning. I did have it covered but strangely it got past the cover. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get to it before it dried.
It's more an appearance issue but I'd like to remove it if possible.

I got a chuckle when I read this thread. Wehn my lathe was new I too was concerned about the appearance but today, years later, the banjo and pretty much all other painted parts on the Jet Midi look like I drug the lathe behind my truck on a gravel road that was freshly put down. I thought about getting some paint from Jet and sand blasting, priming and re-painting but I only pondered that a few minutes. It really has character and looks like I have been really hard at it. After you get the CA off you may want to wax the
c#%p out of it.

Thank you all for the great advice. I'm all for giving tools "character" too. It's sort of like that first ding on a brand new car . . . after that, it doesn't seem to matter.
Thanks again.
