hello folks here are two pieces which i made the other day- i will often make two forms in one day very similar to another, this may seem boring but sometimes it helps to see subtle alterations which can be made within the same size blanks

Those are great. I totally understand the desire to make the same thing more than once in a session. Repetition helps ingrain any lesson learned, plus it presents the opportunity to try to improve on just a few technical details.
 
Great work, and I am still trying to figure out bowl turning. Two, more items of similar design help muscle memory, hand - eye coordination develop. Yes, why just make one of something unless it is perfect. Once that happens, turn off all machinery, give away all tools and bask in the glory of perfection.
