Love this kit. Love this pen. I may keep it for myself! There was a void in the burr, but I filled it with a paste of CA, brass dust and wood dust. Looks sweet!

My only complaint is that I didn't have enough of the wood left to turn a cap finial like this one.

Another thing you can try with this kit, as was pointed out to me by Don Ward, is to replace the black ring on the center band with matching wood.

Did you spot the cut down barrel on the cherry wood one? I really like the way it balances like that.
