bunch of new sierra's

I just got my new light box and wanted to try it out. I made these Sierra's a while ago, but never took the pictures. Comments and Critiques are welcome, thanks

Bahama Cherry Pen-Finished with CA, then buff with Carnuba

Canadian Sierra-Finished with Unaxol, then buffed with Carnuba

Cocobolo Sierra-Finished with CA, then buff with Carnuba

Cocobolo Sierra-Finished with CA, then buff with Carnuba

Osage Orange Sierra-finished with Unaxol, then buff with carnuba

Great looking pens. Try cropping your photos as that will give a larger view of the pen.

Keven, like the Canadian Sierra, very nice, The CocoBolo, is it that dark? or do you need to get more light and closer with the camera to pick up the grain? Amos

First of all, your pens are very nice!! I was curious as to what bit you drill your blanks with? I am having problems with a 27/64 bit being too big.

Any suggestions?

hey Grub,

Make sure that the drill bit is not bent at all(it has happened to me. I use a high speed drill bit and I clamp the blank lower in the pen vise(the one from CSUSA) so when the Drill bit goes in to the blank, there is minimal vibration. give that a try
