This is my first attempt at this. Used a 30.06 casing with a slimline kit. The upper wood is Lacewood with a CA finish. The casing had been fired and carried around a while so there are some scratches and dings on the casing. Let me know what you think (good & bad). Thanks in advance for the comments.

Jerry,pen looks great,you might try some deer antler for the top and a rifle clip,i just got started with them myself,posted a thing in finishing part about how to shine the brass to get the scratches out.

LOL, that is just a picture I found of the horns, I thought it would look kinda neat as a back drop, something that I wanted to try with my pics.
Thanks everyone for the comments. Once you make a couple of these all kinds of ideas pop into your head. Hopefully i'll follow through on a couple of them and post later.
