Bullet pen suggestions

Hey guys, I've got a 50 bullet pen order to do. All nickel casings. Customer wants wood on top. I was thinking Blackwood or maybe dark walnut. Need something that has good contrast with silver. Any suggestions in a wood. You guys have seen more than I have.

I have a request to use Honduran Rosewood Burl on some bullet pens. I did a sample and it looks great. Nice thing about the bullet pens is that you can use short blanks.

I sell quite a few made with Cocobolo. It looks good with gold as well.

i believe the traditional gun stock wood is walnut. kinda fitting for a bullet pen dont ya think.

Try anything that is burled. Are you using a gold finial and clip with the nickel casings? I have made some closed end bullet pens that were good sellers.

I personally think a piece or Ebony or Blackwood would contrast very nicely with the Nickle casing. Brown woods would be next in line, the darker the better.

I use a lot of antler for the tops and if someone wants wood, I then use osage orange.
