A coworker of mine is making one of those huge colored pencil vases for a charity auction, but is struggling to find a good price for pencils. She needs 400 of each red, yellow, and green. If any of you guys know where to find a better price than $0.25 per pencil, PM me with a link. Thanks

You could probably contact local schools--maybe they buy in bulk.

I am a teacher. We have to buy the pencils that we use with our own money. There are "classroom packs" on Amazon but no secret bulk site that I know of. Would love to find some cheap colored pencils for projects

The issue I see is that you only want three colors. You can buy cheap sets but once you throw away all the non red, yellow, and green ones they may end up costing more than 25 cents per pencil.

Here is a source but min order maybe 5,000 per color.

500 but they would be 10 cents each.

It actually says no minimum order

The next hurdle- hexagonal or round? Most newer ones I see are round....

I searched long for hexagonal ones since I had a plan to sort of do a tube in glue up.

If you are doing the standard colored pencil glue up then Hex looks better and lays better. Maybe you have an out of the box idea and hope to see it.

Now I did a different version of a colored pencil pen in this years Advanced Casting Contest and it took second place. It was one version I had in mind. This uses just the colored pencil refills. I have another 2 versions that I will also try at a later date. But trying to think outside the box is always my motto. :):):)
