Buffing Wheel

What is everyone using to clean the Tripoli from their buffing wheel? Mine is starting to cake up pretty bad. Thanks in adance.

IUSe the mending plates they make to put two 2x4's together with a "butt" joint.
They use them on truuses a lot.

I use an old dog grooming brush ... the wire kind.

I have a real crap blade for the skill saw I use to cut the end off a 2x4 then use the rough end. Made a bunch at one time and use them every time before I recharge the wheels.

Hack saw blade, I wrap the ends in duct tape so when it gets tossed out of my hands, they are not cut. I like the fine teeth so they are not overly aggressive.
