I am slowly getting back to constructing some blanks.
John Underhill @JohnU sent me some Buffalo horn, amongst other things, a while back and I thought that I would give it a try as I never turned it before.
I used some small antler offcuts as ends.
Another blank shows the difference between American Sycamore and locally grown Sycamore.
The other blank is Ebony with resin ends ( also from John )

Those blanks look very beautiful. On the third blank between the horn and epoxy, you made a stripe that looks like 1 brown layer, 2 red, 2 white, 2 red, and 1 last brown layer. These layers don't look like plastic; are they a dyed veneer?
