Was it stabilized or dyed? I have some Buckeye Burl, but it has much less color.

My Buddy John stabilized it, but he uses a combination of plexy-glass dissolved in acetone and wood hardener put under vacuum.
Makes for a rock hard wood.

That is a beauty! Buckeye burl is one of my favorites. Is that a CA finish on it?

Yes it is CA (about 10 coats of thin).
